The Printing and Publishing Unit is the main tributary of the university library as it seeks to provide “the university book” locally by concluding agreements to print and publish books with members of the teaching staff and work to make the book available at a reasonable price to students, members of the teaching staff, and others. Among the main tasks of the Printing and Publishing Unit are summarized as follows:
- Coordinating with those wishing to publish their manuscripts through the University Publication Unit and negotiating the method of printing and publishing.
- Preparing printing and publishing contracts and following up on their implementation.
- Follow-up with the printing and publishing companies until receiving the final products and ensuring their proper storage in all respects.
- Administering the distribution and selling of the final product and prepare periodic reports on that.
