The Department of Academic Staff Affairs deals with administrative affairs concerning the academic staff at the university. The department receives and reviews candidates’ applications for teaching positions in different faculties and direct them to the concerned departments. The Department is also responsible for preparing contracts with the teaching staff and overseeing their signing by the university officials and maintains files for all teaching staff that include all required documents and information.
The Academic Staff Affairs develops a comprehensive plan for the reviewing and selection procedures, sets required criteria, and implements the University policy in relation to recruiting and hiring of teaching staff. The department also oversees the academic promotion processes for the teaching staff and organizes professional development programs in coordination with the Office of Quality Assurance and the academic departments.
